Provenance: The vendor has kindly supplied us the following history of the rifle:

"This Daniel Fraser was part of a three-gun battery that I took to Southern Africa in 2010, along with heavy bolt-action and a double rifle; thin skinned plains-game as well as a number of the big-five were on my list of quarry. The Daniel Fraser took three animals, all with single shots; a large Burchell's Zebra stallion, a heavily-bodied Blue Wildebeest, and a cull Impala which fed the bush camp for a couple of days. All animals were effectively despatched using heavy (175 grain) round-nosed conventional jacketed bullets, as has been the long-standing traditional fodder of this classic calibre for years. In order to prove the effectiveness of the weapon and ammunition combination my son took his first highland stag (a cull Summer switch) only a matter of seven months previously at Assynt in Sutherland, Scotland."
